Kia Carnival Exterior Design
- The new Kia Carnival takes on the look of an SUV front with a minivan rear. Its design allows you to get the best of both worlds. Strong and boxy like the Kia Telluride, the new Kia Carnival delivers a confident shape that directly connects to the design language used throughout the Kia product portfolio.
- Another design feature of the Carnival is its wide stance that's emphasized by its modernized Kia Tiger Nose grille.
By this point you may have already decided that you like the look of the Carnival, but what's it like on the inside? This is a family vehicle after all. And for that reason Kia has made sure that the new Kia Carnival is spectacular on the inside. Continue reading below to see for yourself.

Kia Carnival Interior
- Refined and sophisticated, the new Kia Carnival interior resembles a corporate jet inside. Slide-Flex seating for up to 8-passengers allows multi-configurable layouts, including a middle-row sliding seat allowing the front passenger easy access to a person (or baby) sitting in the second row. It can later convert to a functional table.
- Optional heated and ventilated VIP lounge chairs with leg extensions and power controls give an executive feeling to a family hauler. Removable seating from the second row and fold-in-floor third-row seats allow for up to 145-cubic feet of cargo area behind the front row seats.
- The Kia Passenger Talk intercom system is here too. It's one of our favorite features, allowing you to carry on conversations with people in the second and third-row through an intercom system. Just think how the phrase "Don't make me stop this car" sounds through that!
- Innovation continues with available hands-free opening power slide doors with Smart Key and the Smart Power Liftgate with auto-close.

Kia Carnival Engine
- The new Kia Carnival is powered by the Kia 3.5-liter GDI V6 engine matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Naturally-aspirated, it is a gasoline-fed direct-injected V6 engine. It makes an impressive 287 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Carnival has a max-towing capability of up to 3,500 pounds.
- Riding on the same platform as the sporty Kia K5 and the new Sorento, the new Carnival features an expanded use of hot-stamped parts for extra tensile strength and chassis rigidity. Designers have also increased the use of sound-absorption materials to minimize wind, road and engine noise. It results in better driving dynamics, lighter vehicle weight and reduced Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) in this new vehicle.
- And just to prove all that's new is not under the skin of the Kia Carnival, there is new aerodynamic tuning going on to smooth the front wheel and mirror airflow for improved fuel economy and reduced turbulence around the front end.
