How Does The Kia K5 Look Inside

• The interior of the  Kia K5 is designed with an open layout and a new infotainment display that involves either an 8.0-inch or 10.25-inch touchscreen that is designed to create a three-dimensional appearance on the dashboard layout. A new panoramic sunroof lets the sunshine in and continues with the open layout theme.
• The rear seat wasn't designed as an afterthought either. A pair of climate control vents are here, along with two USB ports and adequate headroom to accommodate a pair of adults in the back seat.
• Speaking of seating, the K5 includes a choice of premium or sporty interiors. You can outfit the K5 with traditional materials, including leather or even a red leatherette trim with pseudo wood trim throughout. A flat-bottomed steering wheel adds to the sportiness.

• A base K5 includes the 1.6-liter turbo engine with an 8-inch touchscreen display, cloth interior and much more. Stepping up to the LXS 1.6T adds to the fun with a split-folding rear seat, blind-spot warning with cross-traffic alert and Kia's UVO infotainment system. The GT-Line 1.6T includes all of the above and an available red Sofino leatherette interior, black 18-inch alloy wheels and GT-Line bumpers.
• Sun-worshippers will love the K5 EX 1.6T, which includes a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, SiriusXM Satellite radio, heated front seats, an available Bose 12-speaker audio system. Finally, at the top of the food chain is the Kia K5 GT 2.5T with its 2.5-liter Turbo inline-4. It is complete with a firmer, sport suspension, paddle-shift levers, dual quad-tip exhausts and 19-inch alloy wheels.
• All models enjoy Wireless Apple CarPlay and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
• An innovative available option for the K5 is the Highway Driving Assistant. This system utilizes satellite navigation data to automatically adjust speeds to the posted speed limits. The available smart cruise control uses map data to "see" curves and grades on the highway and to slow the vehicle down if necessary.
• In case you enjoy special editions, Kia has you covered. The K5 GT-Line AWD Special Edition includes the K5 in Wolf Gray with gloss B-pillar trim, and LED projecter lenses. Highlighted by a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, and red leatherette interior, it also includes the K5 Highway Driving Assistant with adaptive cruise control. Remarkably, the system can slow the K5 through the turns as its logic deems fit.

Behind The Wheel Of The K5

• Supremely refined, the new Kia K5 is a front-driving five-passenger sedan perfectly at home with its 1.6-liter turbo inline-4 that offers plenty of low-end torque for quick getaways and economical cruising once highway speeds are achieved. Featuring a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, it is one smooth-shifting gearbox that the EPA says can achieve 38 mpg.
  Shifting to sport mode via the switch located on the center console will result in a faster shifting car overall.
  
• While cruising at 60 mph, the K5's 1.6-liter turbo feels like it's barely breathing. The experience leaves a driver thinking they're in a vehicle costing thousands more. And if it's a hot day outside, you can flick on the available ventilated front seats. Talk about keeping cool. Yes!
